More about this keycap set

What's in the Colorway

The alpha keys sit in a desaturated olive drab, the kind of green that shows up on vintage military surplus and aged copper brewing tanks. Modifiers shift to an off-white cream, closer to unbleached cotton than stark white. Accent keys—Escape, Enter, arrow cluster—pull in warm amber and chocolate brown. The dye-sub legends are a slightly darker tone than their base keys, visible but not high-contrast. No novelties here: the theme reads through color blocking rather than illustrated icons, which keeps the set usable for daily work without screaming "hobby keyboard."

The 134-key count includes split spacebar support, a 7u spacebar, and enough modifiers to cover standard ANSI, Tsangan, and most 96-key compact layouts. At 350g, the set has the density PBT is known for—thicker walls than budget ABS, less hollow-sounding when bottomed out.

How XDA-Like Types

XDA profile means every row is the same height. No sculpting, no angle changes from Q to number row to function row. The top surface is slightly dished, enough to center a fingertip without the deep bowl of SA.

For typing: finger travel is flatter than Cherry or OEM, which some find reduces wrist extension. Others miss the sculpted guidance of staggered profiles. The PBT surface here is matte, not glossy, with the dry texture that resists shine from skin oils. Dye-sub legends won't wear through—they're pigment embedded in the plastic, not a layer on top. After months of use, the olive and cream should look identical to day one.

The spherical top (XDA's signature) creates a larger landing zone than cylindrical profiles. Mistypes from finger drift are less common; precise strikers might find it slightly less defined. It's a profile that rewards a light touch and consistent hand position.

Compatibility & Layout Coverage

Cherry MX stem compatible—fits Gateron, Kailh, Outemu, JWK, and most mainstream switches. The kit covers:

  • 60% / 61-key ( Poker-style )
  • 65% / 68-key ( with blocker or arrow cluster )
  • 75% / 96-key compact
  • TKL / 87-key
  • Full-size / 104-108 key

Note: This is keycaps only. No keyboard, no stabilizers, no switches included.

Who This Set Is For

At $49.99, it sits in the entry-to-mid tier for dye-sub PBT. The craft beer theme is specific enough to matter, restrained enough to live with. If you want sculpted profiles or RGB shine-through, this isn't it. If you want a flat profile, muted earth tones, and enough keys to cover multiple boards or an unusual layout, the coverage and material justify the price against cheaper 104-key sets that leave you short on modifiers.

Quick Questions

Does the Craft Beer theme have actual beer icons or just colors?

Color only. The theme is carried by the olive, cream, amber, and brown palette—no pint glasses, hops, or brewery logos. The dye-sub legends are standard text and icons.

Is XDA profile good for gaming?

Flat profiles work for gaming if you prefer consistent key heights across WASD and number rows. Some players miss the angled home row of sculpted profiles. The PBT texture provides grip; the spherical tops don't channel fingers as aggressively as cylindrical profiles.

Will this fit my Keychron K2 / Akko 3068 / Drop CTRL?

Yes to all three. The K2's 84-key compact needs the included 1.75u right Shift. The 3068's 68-key layout uses standard modifiers. The CTRL's 87-key TKL is fully covered. Any Cherry MX-compatible board from 60% to full-size is supported.
