How does dye-sub compare to double-shot for durability?
Dye-sublimation embeds pigment into PBT plastic through heat and pressure; the legend cannot wear off because it exists below the surface. Double-shot molding physically traps a second color of plastic inside the keycap, equally permanent but limited to ABS or PBT+PC materials due to shrinkage rates. For dark legends on light keys or complex sublegends, dye-sub offers design flexibility that double-shot cannot achieve economically.
What keyboards does the Milky Way set fit?
The 136-key layout supports 61-key (60%), 68-key (65%), 84-key (75%), 87-key (TKL), 96-key/98-key (compact 1800), 100-key, 104-key, and 108-key (full-size) configurations. Cherry MX cross stems ensure compatibility with Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, Akko, Outemu, and most custom switches. The set does not include low-profile or Choc v1/v2 stems.
Does PBT really resist shine better than ABS?
PBT's higher glass transition temperature and crystalline structure make it harder and more heat-resistant than ABS. Finger oils that gradually polish ABS to a reflective finish accumulate on PBT's more porous surface without the same smoothing effect. The "shine" resistance is real but not absolute—years of heavy use will eventually alter texture, though typically at 3-5x the timeline of equivalent ABS wear.
